Social media was ablaze with excitement when images of a new Nike Air Ship “Every Game” surfacing over the weekend. The reason? It looks, color and construction alike, very similar to the recent Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship “Bike Air”, which was released only for friends and family.

Immediately, the first thought was that this could be the GR version of the “Bike Air”. However, as reliable insiders such as @MrUnloved1s have revealed, the new colorway is not a collaboration with the BMX athlete. In fact it has no affiliation whatsoever beyond an almost-identical look.

Right off the bat, the text on the heel reads “Every Game” instead of “Bike Air”, which is actually a nod to Michael Jordan’s habit of wearing his UNC practice shorts beneath his Bulls uniform every single game for good luck.

The suede detailing on the new sneaker also comes dressed in a slightly different shade of blue. It also features a cracked leather upper, with a sail midsole to round off the design.

Unfortunately, details about this upcoming Nike Air Ship “Every Game” is still scanty at the moment. This has led to a lot of misconceptions about Nigel Sylvester’s involvement with the new sneaker. We’ll have to wait for more information to see if it is indeed true Sylvester had a part to play, or if it’s just another regular GR silhouette.
