The Air Max 90, one of the brand’s best was created by Tinker Hatfield and debuted in 1990. More than 30 years later and it hasn’t lost its momentum. Its novelty at the time of its release has become familiar, and the familiarity has become nostalgia—and nostalgia is hard to resist. This recent iteration is part of Nike’s “Icons” line and pays homage to the original Air Max 97 and their iconic “Silver Bullet” makeup.

It arrives in a palette of Metallic Silver, Photon Dust, University Red, Black, and White. Mesh and leather elements form the construct of the model. It’s further elevated  by the Photon Dust base and Metallic Silver overlays, the red suede profile Swooshes, and branded tongue and heel tags. The design is finished with black accents all around, “Icons” branding on the insoles, a white midsole, and a two-toned black/red rubber outsole.

A release date hasn’t been disclosed but they’re projected to arrive in the summer of this year with an RRP of US$130.

Elsewhere in Nike’s vault, check out the impending arrival of the Nike Air Zoom Generation “Cemented in History” .
