Few artists are capable of creating such an expansive body of work it’s as if they still walk among us long after their passing. There’s Tupac, Basquiat—just to name a few—and Virgil. He’s created a plethora a joe would take several lifetimes to make. One such is the titular Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Sheed”, a retrofitting of 2004 NBA champion and “walking technical foul” Rasheed Wallace’s PE.

First spotted during late last year’s Virgil Abloh: The Codes c/o Architecture exhibition, the pair features a black patent leather finish throughout the upper with Rasheed’s silhouette emblem on the lateral. In addition to his jersey number on ankle strap. From there, it bears all of the late great designer’s signature deconstructive imprints throughout.

There’re the spiky runner outsoles underfoot; the decorative stitching framing the lateral Swoosh; the laces regaling the pair on top of the standard; the Helvetica text on the medial; and of course, the quintessentially Virgil hallmark: the marked hangtags.

The photos emerge courtesy of A$AP Bari’s Instagram and it’s likely that a retail release is in order, though no official dates have been set. Stay tuned! When word gets to us, trust it’ll get to you.

Also in the pipeline, is the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Blue Sapphire”. Find out more.
