Liverpool F.C. Teams Up With Converse for a Collection
Involving a Chuck Hi 70 and a Run Star Hike, among other apparel.
Liverpool F.C. might not be exactly where they envisioned themselves to be in the English Premier League table, but the soccer team has been excelling off the pitch.
Coming off their recent collaboration with Nike and LeBron James, the Reds are now teaming up with Converse for a full-scale collection. The collection pays tribute to the diversity found within the city of Liverpool, and also to the rich history of the soccer club.
The limited edition capsule will feature nine new styles, ranging from varsity jackets to tracksuits, as well as two sneakers: the Converse Chuck Hi 70 and the Run Star Hike.
Labelled as one of the standout pieces from the collection, the Converse Chuck Hi 70 comes dressed in a patchwork-inspired design. The uppers feature all-over prints of the iconic Liver Bird, Sea Holly and “YNWA”, which stands for “You’ll Never Walk Alone”—the club’s slogan.
The Run Star Hike comes in a much cleaner design. Dressed in Converse’s iconic shade of cream, the silhouette shares the same all-over “YNWA” motif as the Chuck Hi, this time in a similar color tone as its base. The circular Converse logo and the spiky outsole comes in a forest green blend, drawing inspiration from the Reds’ third kit this season.
