[Update 23 Mar 2023] As any high profile celebrity would, BAPE has made their collaboration with adidas official via their Instagram. Now known to be a special collab for BAPE’s 30th Anniversary, the dynamic video hints at heavy use of adidas blue and bejewelled elements. Keen eyes will notice that their video’s hashtags include the #adidas #campus, making the rumored release of this navy BAPE x adidas Campus all the more concrete. 

The BAPE x adidas collection is slated to drop on 1st April, and we sure hope it isn’t a joke. More details will likely follow in the next few days. 

While A BATHING APE has been busy working with other brands such as JJJJound and Pagani in recent times, a collaboration with long-lasting partner adidas is never too far away. In fact, the duo are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.

To kick 2023 off for the long-lasting partnership, A BATHING APE and adidas are releasing a Campus 80.

The Campus 80 comes dressed in a near-clad navy suede upper. Where the Three Stripes logo usually appears on the midfoot, A BATHING APE’s signature STA branding takes over instead. Gold foil lettering of the Japanese streetwear brand appears beneath, with a matching “BAPE STA” motif appearing on the heel as well.

All things considered, the sole teaser image of the Campus 80 does seem to carry the same design pattern as the BAPE x adidas Superstar “Black” from last year. Whether adidas’ branding takes on the left side of the sneaker remains to be seen.

Reportedly, a Forum 84 will also be released alongside the Campus 80. Unfortunately, no imagery of the Forum 84 has surfaced just yet.
