The New Jordan Stadium 90 Joins the Jumpman’s Hybrid Lineup
A brand new 90s-inspired model. Looking to the past to move towards the future.
Jordan Brand’s release calendar is chockfull of retro releases in 2023, with highly-anticipated ones like the Nike Air Jordan 3 “Wizards”; the Air Jordan 1 High “Satin Bred”; and most of all, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Royal”. But between them, the Jumpman is still looking into the future with releases of brand new models like the titular Jordan Stadium 90, a design inspired by the decade its namesake dominated.
The componentry pulls from the classics including the AJ6’s sharktooth motif on the lateral forefoot, the AJ4’s netted mesh panel, with the perforated toebox most reminiscent of the AJ1. All of which sit atop the brand’s contemporary signature Formula 23 cushioning technology.
The “White/Red” palette is a followup to the debut “White/Neutral Grey” colorway but the construction stays close to the blueprint. White leather forms much of the base layer while embellished with various textured suede overlays in beige. The said color landing on the midsoles as well.
Red adorns the pair on its most notable features. Aside from the outsole underfoot, it also highlights the partial Swooshes exposed through the overlays, the foremost eyestay, and the interior. Just as well, it helps put branding elements at the fore of attention as seen on the imprint on the tongue tag and its underside, the Jumpman tag on the medial quarter, and the “NIKE AIR” embroidery on the heel counter.
A release date hasn’t been disclosed but with these official images already available, D-Day should be imminent. Stay tuned for more details!
