China and Taiwan-based sneaker platform KIKS has officially partnered up with sports label adidas Originals for an unconventional take on the latter’s Rivalry Low. And speaking of unconventional, it’s more than just a footwear with this pair.

Dubbed “VINTAGECORE”, the duo draws inspiration found from the nostalgia and love towards vintage aesthetics. At first look comes traditional details with smooth off-white and grey leather uppers, equipped with a rubber gum outsole.

Zooming in, the shoe tongues are seen to be constructed with a full-zip turtleneck sweater collar, which traces back to its vintage-themed origins. And that’s not all to it—un-zipping the collar brings a hidden adidas shoe tongue to view.

Last but not least, co-branded graphics finishes the design on the insoles, heel tabs and side rear panels of the pair.

Set to release on 24 February, the adidas Originals x KIKS Rivalry Low “VINTAGECORE” will be available for purchase via KIKS and the adidas CONFIRMED app.
