[Update 16 May 2023] Good news! The A-COLD-WALL* x Timberland SS23 boots have just been released in Japan. If you still can’t get your hands on a pair, keep a look out on the SNKRDUNK App for new daily listings from Japan.

[Update 8 May 2023] A release has now been announced for the A-COLD-WALL* x Timberland SS23 boots. Slated to arrive on 12 May 3pm BST alongside a 3-Eye Lug Shoe, sign up via A-COLD-WALL*’s website for exclusive access to the collection. In the meantime, take a look at the latest imagery revealed for the pair on the article slider above.

LINEA-COLD-WALL*’s artistic direction revolves around the celebration of urban youths, English working class culture and the architectural experiences of city life. It’s an eclectic mix that has characterised the muted-but-edgy collections ACW* drops, with its unique factor lying in how they reimagine a garment’s construction.

In their previous link up with Timberland, founder Samuel Ross infused the 3-Eye Classic Lug with Gorpcore functionality—think hardy GORE-TEX and ripstop material—a move that incorporated the brand’s utilitarian lean while still aligning close to the fashion movements of the young urbanite.

For SS23, though, the British brand has set its sights on the popular high-cut Timberland boots. As opposed to the previous collab, this upcoming piece sees the Timbs overhauled in its entire appearance. A premium beige leather acts as the base construction while laces have been eradicated. Instead, an easy zipper cinches the boot to your foot. A smooth nubuck makes up the collar for added comfort and durability.

Rounding out the design is the standard ridged sole in brown, along with a co-branded leather tag in the same luxe beige. It’s the Timberlands boots made minimal—an intentionally stripped design that feels in the moment and current.

While no official release dates have attached themselves to these images by @arkangel, we expect more details to land soon. In other news, URBAN RESEARCH DOORS is celebrating their 20th Anniversary with Vans.
