Collaborations have flooded Palace’s offerings as of late, with the likes of Gucci and Y-3 joining the skate brand’s partnership arsenal last year. But even as the British brand scales the high fashion ladder, it does not neglect its previous allies—specifically, Palace is rekindling its relations with adidas by issuing pairs of collaborative Sambas.

Yes, the adidas Sambas that have taken the Internet by storm, due in part to its sightings on celebrities like A$AP Rocky, Rihanna and Bella Hadid. And of course, as a skateboard brand with their own team, the seasoned hands of Palace have opted to focus on the Puig Samba silhouette. Coming in a trio of colorways, expect to see this Palace x adidas Puig Samba collection to arrive in versatile Olive Green, Black and White shades.

The usual smooth leather and suede accents, in itself touches of luxury, are suitably employed but are juxtaposed with Palace’s blatant branding on the tongue. The skate brand also establishes its presence on the gum midsole as well as on the heel in varied prints and textures. adidas asserts its ownership over the silhouette in its typical fashion with Three Stripes on the lateral sides and Samba labelling right above. It’s a classic design infused with bold streetwear elements from the 2000’s.

While no official release details have made it out of Palace and adidas’ “Bermuda Triangle”, rumors circulating suggest that it will be part of Palace’s second spring drop happening in early February.
