Yohji Yamamoto’s designs have always been so refined, and every collection of his seemingly speaks a story or theme of its own.

Tracing back to the recent Paris Fashion Week, the Japanese designer presented his Fall/Winter 2023 runway show and eyes were caught with a footwear collection in collaboration with Italian leather brand Guidi.

Marking the duo’s first collaboration, three exclusive boot styles were introduced in the lineup. Alongside Guidi’s signature back and front zip models, a combat boot which features traditional lacing system exerts a more Yamamoto-aesthetic among the three.

Utilizing Guidi’s expertise in leather material, black smooth leather and suede construction forms the outlook of the footwear, with Vibram outsoles equipped for superior comfort and durability as compared to traditional boots.

While exact release dates are yet to be announced, the Yohji Yamamoto x Guidi FW23 collection is expected to arrive around the designated season period alongside the former’s main apparel collection.
