It’s common knowledge, at least among basketball fans and the street culturati, that Michael Jordan has six rings, six NBA championships. Twice in triple-succession, two three-peats, as they call it. The first in the run taking place in 1991, the second in 1996. This is the legend that the “Defining Moments” pack celebrated when it was first released in 2006.

Subsumed are the signatures he wore during those “defining moments”, the catalyst that would define his unparalleled legacy, and redefine pop culture. These are the Air Jordan 6 and the Air Jordan 11. The former saw a return in 2020 and three years on, comes the latter.

@zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files have its return purported in the holiday season this year.

Based on the mockup shared, it will embody its original design. A palette that dresses the pair in Black, White, and Metallic Gold. The last of which dresses the Jumpman on the ankle. White will occupy the mesh base layer and the leather panel at the rear, while Black as usual will make up the hallmark patent leather mudguard at the circumference below. All of which will sit atop a white midsole as well as the achromatic rubber outsole underfoot.

It’s not yet known whether the eyelets will feature the popular “JORDAN” imprint. Like the pair’s namesake, the release date is also “up in the air” with only a loose holiday release as the Rosetta Stone. It’s almost a full year away and more information should come through the pipeline, albeit sporadically. Nevertheless, you’ll hear again from us then.
