The Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low Will See a Limited Restock on 16 June
After jumping to the skies with Jordan, Travis Scott is reportedly returning to cruise on the ramps with Dunks.
[Update 9 Jun 2023] In yet another twist to the rumored re-release of the Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low, the pair is now officially set to see a restock on 16 June via Japanese online retailer Dropp.
Raffle entries will be opened from 9 June 12 pm JST to 16 June 11:59 am JST and only a limited size run of 27–28.5 cm will be made available. Winners will then be contacted from 16 June 12:30 pm onwards. Each pair will retail for 18,150 JPY (~US$130).
This might be the only chance of copping the aforementioned pair so good luck!
[Update 7 Jun 2023] Contrary to earlier reports of a restock, the Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low will not be making a return in September. But if it’s any consolation for fans, there’s still Utopia to look forward to! Sorry, guys.
[Update 27 May 2023] If the latest round of rumors is to be believed, the 2023 Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low that was earlier reported is turning out to be a restock of the OG Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk PRM Quickstrike. A September 2023 re-release has been tagged to the highly-coveted sneaker, coinciding with La Flame’s Utopia album rollout.
The Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low PRM QS is famous for its print-on-print makeup, including navy paisley, plaid flannel and Nike’s iconic elephant print pattern underneath a tear-away upper. Stay tuned for more updates on this pair of Travis SB Dunk.
As the pride of lions in Lion King would croon, “It’s the circle of life, and it moves us all”. This philosophical concept of life is applicable to many occurences in one’s mortal journey, but also traverses into the sneaker realm where leaked samples ebb and flow into the community’s consciousness every few months. Such is the case of the elusive Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk sequel, which has been making its rounds on social media as mockups but without any confirmation on an official release… ‘Till now?
Popular sneaker account @justfreshkicks recently posted that “Another Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low is rumored for 2023!” and accompanies this exciting news with old sample pictures. General consensus is that these images are dated, and would likely differ from the actual retail drop, but it’s possible that certain elements might be retained. For instance, Travis Scott’s first SB Dunks included a tear-away feature, whereby the dark paisley overlays can be peeled off to reveal a woodsy texture pattern beneath.
In the sample images, this stark pattern is put on display as the main design as a nod to its predecessor. The overall color scheme also follows in the footsteps of the OG’s neutral tones, albeit warmer in its brown. Laces remain as the same raw rope. While it is still shrouded in mystery as to whether this next Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk will have such close similarities to its parent, we look forward to finding out whether this is another hearsay just flowing back into the rumor mill or a concretized upcoming release.
