Selling on the SNKRDUNK App: How to Pack for Shipping
Our purveyors have until now come from Japan. With the integration of the Selling function into our Global App, there're just a few things to heed before listing.
Everybody wants their shoes new, authentic, with accessories complete. While SNKRDUNK serves as regulators upholding the integrity of every transaction, we’re merely umpires. If you’ve enjoyed your purchase from the Global App in the last year, that’s only because the sellers have exercised their due diligence. And now, if you’re playing for the other side, you must do the same. Let’s make it a win-win for everyone. Life and raffles have given us enough Ls.
1. Ensure Sneakers are New and Unused
Any sneakers you list on the app must be brand new, or deadstock. With the exception of trying them on in-store, make sure they remain as you’ve found them—clean and smelling nice like yourself after a good bath. Any pair with signs of wear indoors or out will, fortunately, be rejected. No stains, no tears, no creases, as much as (or rather, as little as) possible.
We do understand that yellowing, color migration, and discoloring may inevitably occur during long-term storage, especially for those that have been on the market for more than five years. Sure, no two feet are alike and no two shoes are too. But please refrain from sending us affected shoes with a stark difference between the left and right pairs.
Minor sewing and other defects may also be incurred during manufacture but we’ll exercise discretion to discern whether these fall within our appraisal guidelines.
2. All Accessories Are Included
Especially with Jordans, makers these days regal these pairs with so many accessories. Alternate Swooshes, alternate laces, and add-ons we’d likely forget about (after falling in love with the default at first sight). Nevertheless, they must be in there.
Along with the above-mentioned, if they’re included in the original design and packaging, the box must contain keychains; hangtags; wrapping tissue with a special imprint; store bags; plastic shoe trees; postcards; stickers; etc. Generic plastic accessory bags, hangtags, and wrapping tissue aren’t mandatory, as are the inclusion of shoekeepers if they’re done so to prevent yellowing.
Lastly, appraisal tags or certificates that weren’t part of the primary transaction will be discarded in the authentication. Other than that, the only thing that shouldn’t be in the box is the way you think.
3. Condition of the Shoe Box
Like your eating habits, be reasonable, be rational. Don’t deliver your pair of Nikes in an adidas shoebox. Not that it’s happened before, but Murphy’s Law says otherwise. We’d rather be safe than stupid.
Because we’re reasonable and rational, degrees of exceptions may be made. Some minor dents, staining, or wear and tear may materialize during transportation or storage. Just don’t do anything “unnatural”, like using it as a cutting board for your art project.
Only replacement boxes made by the manufacturer will be accepted. We highly implore that you apply a bubble wrap layer to the shoe box and use a befitting carton to prevent any damages in the midst of shipping.
With all of the above sorted, you can begin the process of shipping the item to our warehouse.
For Singapore sellers, you are free to engage a courier of your own choice. Remember to indicate the tracking number from the courier on the app when you ship your item.
Kindly note that if your parcel arrives at our warehouse without it, we will contact you via the transaction chatbox and request it from you there. Without a response from you, we won’t be able to process the received items to their respective transactions, which may result in a canceled transaction and thus, charged a cancellation fee. In addition, we strictly do not accept self drop-off.
For sellers outside of Singapore*, tap “Request pickup” to select a date and time for our partner courier Fedex to come collect the item. Next, tap “Download shipping label” and the shipping label will then be emailed to you. Print and paste this shipping label onto the carton box. Non-Singapore sellers are not required to enter any tracking number or additional info.
*Certain parts of China, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam are currently not covered by our shipping partner FedEx, hence the selling function will not be available to users residing in these specific areas.
For a more comprehensive guide, head over to the Guideline section under the My Page tab on the SNKRDUNK App. If you haven’t downloaded our app, you can do so here.
The Selling function is currently available for SNKRDUNK App users in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore.
