_J.L-A.L_ x HOKA ONE ONE Offers Aesthetically Functional Footwear

[Update 17 Jan 2023] Just a few days after its initial announcement, more images have surfaced for the _J.L-A.L_ x HOKA ONE ONE footwear collection, alongside release details. Officially known as the Tor Ultra Hi “Aurora” & Tor Ultra Low “Dune”, both pairs are set to drop exclusively on 19th January via j-la-l.com and Slam Jam, followed by a global release on the 20th.
Jean-Luc Ambridge, or better known as his Instagram monicker, _J.L-A.L_, is a London-based designer who has gathered a cult-like following from technical-wear enthusiasts. Working as an external designer for Goldwin 0, he has also unveiled his debut collection for AW22 under his own name of “Jean-Luc A. Lavelle”.
This time, Ambridge has announced a partnership with sports label HOKA ONE ONE for a collaborative footwear release. Taking to his Instagram, he has revealed a two-piece boot offering in a low “Tan/Black” and high “Blue/Black” variation. While no details of each pair are mentioned, images suggest that reflective rubber track soles and upgraded lacing system will be featured, alongside HOKA’s logo on the shoe tongue.
No exact release dates are known yet, but according to the designer himself, the _J.L-A.L_ x HOKA ONE ONE is set to drop within January 2023 via selected retailers. In the meantime, we will keep you updated here with the latest news to come.
