[Update 12 Apr 2023] A release date has now been confirmed for the Nike SB Dunk Low “Midnight Navy/Desert Ochre”. Slated to arrive on 21 April, expect the pair to be made available via Nike and select retailers.
[Update 19 Jan 2023] Official images of the dual-faceted pair have arrived. Although no firm release date has been disclosed, a loose April 2023 has been purported. Stay tuned for more updates!
The Nike SB Dunk was one of the first seeds planted in the sneaker landscape. Overtime, the tree that it flourished into and the fruits it bore, largely shaped the ecosystem. It birthed the practice of hype-building, the practice of limited releases, and laid the foundation for the secondary marketplace. Two decades on, its influence remains.
In that timeframe, new materials and colorways have transformed the pair. Sometimes it’s one or the either, sometimes it’s both at the same time. Such as the pair-in-discussion.
These leaked images offer a first look at the tan suede and navy canvas makeup of the shoe. The former shaping the the toe box, mudguard, and vamp; the latter, the rest, from the tongue through to the heel. Branding elements stays close to the blueprint. The profile Swooshes stays uniform with the navy canvas build along with the embroidery on the heel counter. For contrast, comes the Nike SB branding on the tongue that adopts the tan suede of the forefoot. All the above-mentioned anchored by an all-white sole unit.
Information is scant at the time of writing but at least the leaks ascertain the existence of the model. With that, more news should come to light soon before long.
Until then, have a look at the incoming Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Light Steel Grey” arriving sometime in 2023 as well.
