First Look: Nike Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Light Steel Grey”
The Jumpman flew above the clouds, onto the lifestyle space.
[Update 12 Jan 2023] Official images of the “Light Steel Grey” AJ 1 Lows have arrived. With that, a firm release date should be close behind. For now, it’s expected to be sometime in the spring this year.
Jordan Brand still makes performance footwear with All-Star endorsers like Luka Dončić and Jayson Tatum thriving in the NBA. Although this division of the company is kept at the fore by its roster of athletes, much of the Jumpman’s biggest cake is made from their back catalogue. Their retro offerings once dominated on the hardwood, but these days, they’re more dominant in the lifestyle space.
One such juggernaut is the Air Jordan 1. It’s arrived in a plethora of colorways, but once in awhile comes dressed in another material. This “Light Steel Grey” iteration of the Low foregoes its full leather build. The shaded embroidery of the profile Swooshes and the canvas overlays, replacing their traditionally leather construction. The leather of the base layer, in sail however, is nevertheless a mainstay.
There’s no firm drop date at the time of writing but with 2023 opening a new release cycle, more news and images should arrive imminently. When D-Day comes to past next year, expect to find them on SNKRS with a RRP of US$120.
