WACKO MARIA taps Bob Marley once again for a three-piece Hawaiian shirt capsule set to drop in the first week of 2023. These short sleeve shirts are a follow-up to WACKO MARIA’s FW 2022 collection, where long sleeve versions featuring the same smoking Bob Marley motif were first spotted.

Their latest outing chooses to keep things familiar by repeating motifs of the Reggae icon smoking throughout the fabric. Similar to the long sleeve shirts, the upcoming shirts will come in three different colors: White, Cream and Green.

This isn’t the first time WACKO MARIA is collaborating with the Bob Marley estate. The Japanese streetwear label, borne out of founder Atsuhiko Mori’s love for music and culture, is known for channeling its passion for music and paying tribute to musical heroes through its products.

Alongside the WACKO MARIA x Bob Marley Hawaiian shirts, WACKO MARIA is also releasing more apparel including Hawaiian shirts featuring tiger prints and long sleeve shirts in leopard print, amongst other items. The full collection will drop on 2 January 2023 at WACKO MARIA’s authorized stores, with an online release taking place right next day 3 January.

Meanwhile, fellow Japanese label Onitsuka Tiger has dropped one of its darkest apparel collection yet.
