Just as quickly as rabbits multiply, so are the number of Jordans joining the “Year of the Rabbit” pack. In total, there has already been five Jordans announced to celebrate the Lunar New Year-inspired collection, with this Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low being the sixth to enter the line up.

As you might expect, the pack’s signature pastel greens act as overlays atop a white base. Earthy browns color the Swoosh while an accenting gold makes up the heel. As expected of references to Lunar New Year, bright red accents are utilised for branding on the tongue and on the red packet-inspired insole. Unlike the other Jordans in the series, the rabbit on this iteration hides itself on the inside of the tongue. But the colorway is not the only aesthetically pleasing part about the “Year of the Rabbit” releases — it’s the mix of textures that truly drives the connection to adorable animal.

The brown Swoosh is comprised of a hairy suede while the gold heel is made of a shaggier fluff, like the tail of a bunny. The sock lining, too, utilises a curled hairy texture in white. Rounding out these soft textiles are fluffy, but flat, laces. Similar to other silhouettes in the pack, this Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low “Year of the Rabbit” will only see 5000 units in production, with each individually numbered on the inside of the tongue.

This pair is expected to drop in January 2023 in tandem with Lunar New Year. It will retail for US$135. Look to the slider gallery above for closer looks.
