The Y-3 Qasa High Makes a Return in “Triple Black”
Since its last appearance in mid-2010s.
adidas and Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 is definitely not a foreign name to many who are inclined to the fashion scene. Seeing the many collections that the duo has put out throughout the years, there are so many notable pieces that one can think of, but among them comes an old classic that is slated to make its return—the Qasa High.
Seen in an “Orange” rendition back in September for Fall 2022, the Qasa High returns in the Japanese designer’s signature black. Being a staple element found in his works, it’s not surprising that fans of the dark fashion master would know the reasons behind his association with the color. Keeping the overall outlook of the iconic silhouette, the cult favorite trainers are reimagined in a sophisticated mix of materials with mesh and leather, equipped to a Tubular outsole.
“Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious. But above all black says this: I don’t bother you – don’t bother me” — Yohji Yamamoto
While no release dates are confirmed at the moment, the Y-3 Qasa High “Triple Black” is expected to drop in the last weeks of December via the adidas CONFIRMED app for a retail price of $400.
