Walk the Earth With the FTMD. x Reebok Classic Club C Revenge
Inspired by the jungle, made for the concrete one.
Futuremade Studio (FTMD.) completes their trifecta of collaborations with Reebok. Succeeding last year’s Instapump Fury and April’s Classic Leather Legacy AZ, their latest effort inducts the Classic Club C Revenge into their collective body of work.
Tunway Yeoh, the Malaysian YouTuber that runs the label, embraces the influence of nature. It’s a design choice consistent with the brand’s design ethos, evident in their own inline catalogue geared towards the outdoors. Moreover the same for Reebok, with many of their latest releases drawing from the same pool of inspiration. Inspired by the great outdoors, designed for the concrete jungle.
Made from a knitted nylon fabric, the color palette of the base layer is adopted from the hues of the natural vegetation that grows in the valley. The material selection is well-considered as it allows for dirt to be cleaned easily, in addition to its strength. Likewise for the thematically-consistent application of hemp on the heel counter and tongue, adding a ‘natural’ touch to the overall aesthetic.
The navy overlays’s source is as clear as water, as it embraces the shoe from the mudguard through to the quarter. There, on the side panel lies FTMD.’s branding while Reebok has its name embroidered on the heel counter, and embossed on both sides of the midsole. The finishing touch comes in the form of the yellow tongue tag depicting a vector of mountains and a river.
The pair is scheduled for release on Reebok (JP) on 17 December with a price tag of JPY13,200 or ~US$98.
