KITH Spruces Up the adidas Samba for Winter
Added sophistication on the Samba.
Winter is upon us, and so are its titular collections and collaborations. Established retailer KITH always has something up its sleeves for the seasons, and this year’s colder days will be met with a KITH x adidas Samba that slips right into the silhouette’s resurgence. Capturing 2022’s summers by storm, the low-profile sneaker has been a consistent top seller but saw general mass appreciation after the likes of Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and the mysterious Frank Ocean were spotted strutting down the streets with them.
Needless to say, various partners were quick to utilise the model as a collaborative canvas — JJJJound, Humanrace, and atmos, to name a few. New York-founded KITH joins this star studded line of collaborators to redesign the Samba and adds luxe colors to the already-sophisticated model. Coming in white, black and tan, premium suede is utilised to varying degrees on the upper.
For the white iteration, a taupe suede rests on the mudguard while an emerald green dresses the stripes and heel. The black is more straightforward in its appearance — black on the upper with white Three Stripes and velvet-like laces. The final tan colorway is portrayed on a smooth suede, with the gum sole piped by a darker teddy brown. All versions has co-branding debossed onto the tongue and insoles for an added change.
No official release dates have been declared by either brands, but we expect it to land soon given its role in KITH’s winter releases. In the meantime, check out early looks courtesy of @le.syndrome in the top slider above.
This is not the only adidas drop this winter season. A Forum Low just got Grinch-ified.
