AURALEE and New Balance follow up on their three-piece collaborative effort on the XC-72 released in October. Echoing the tones of the first, this sophomore attempt sees the contemporary silhouette dressed in “Camel & White”.

A singular colorway will dress each one in the two-piece. The MO is the same. The construction on both pairs will include the party’s proclivity towards high-quality craftsmanship and material choices. Three types of leather will form the upper; particularly smooth leather as the base layer with nubuck and suede as the overlays.

Perhaps the silhouette’s most distinctive feature will be its unique sole unit. An asymmetric pattern will grace the outsole leading up to the multi-faceted heel, along with a square toe inspired by concept cars from the ’70s. Both brands have thrived in the intersection between vintage and modern, and this is evident not only in their choice of using the XC-72 as the canvas, but on the colors on their palette.

The AURALEE × New Balance XC-72 “Camel & White” will be available on AURALEE, New Balance, and Dover Street Market’s website from 9 December for JPY19,800 (~US$146). However, a lottery will be held for the pair at AURALEE as a pre-release. It will be open between 5 to 7 December and winners will be announced on the 9th. Only one pair is allowed per person and all orders will be forfeited upon breach.
