The masters of mood boards JJJJound has had another momentous year. Working with just about everyone in the sneaker culture, it appears that the Montreal-based design studio is getting ready to collaborate with adidas and the Samba, an iconic design that has recently gained popularity.
JJJJound has used equally simple, but “colorful” designs to its first collaboration with the Three Stripes, pausing from the predominantly white color arrangements that have taken over several of its footwear projects over the last 11 months.
The leather and suede upper of the black and white version from the undisclosed collection maintains the adidas Originals classic’s time-tested style. The name of Saunders’ studio is imprinted on each shoe’s heel. In contrast, the complementing beige and brown Samba by JJJJound features a hairy suede throughout its upper. The lateral design of the sneakers lacks branding, upholding the Canadian imprint’s minimalist aesthetic. Last but not least, the semi-translucent gum sole unit on the leather-lined adidas shoes adds a vintage touch.
Get a glimpse of the two colorways in the meantime as we wait for official images and release date from JJJJound and adidas CONFIRMED app.
