New Balance has embodied the pre-aged, vintage aesthetic better than its contemporaries have. And in the status quo, great favor has grown for the styling, with the shoemaker finding plenty of success in their now signature “Protection Pack”. First applied on the titular shoe’s successor, the 2002R, it now borrows the MO for its own.

Courtesy of @iamricosuav, leaked images depict the 1906R in Protection Pack fashion, with a ‘mangled’ design by way of the grey suede overlays. Underside, comes the mesh base layer in a lighter shade before the color slider goes left on the trademark TPU heel cage. The uniform color scheme, in addition to the Sail midsoles, give contrast to the scarlet “Nergy” imprint on the lower profiles and the branding elements on the tongue.

Little is known about the shoe aside from the information derived from the images. A release date nor a price point have yet to be officially disclosed.
