Release Confirmed: Stüssy x Nike Air Max Penny 2 in Black and Green
You can bet a pound to a penny that the dynamic duo's collaboration will continue with gusto.
[Update 6 Dec] Release dates have been disclosed by both parties. Both colorways will drop first on Stüssy.com on 16 December, with a succeeding one on SNKRS on the 20th. The “Black” and “Vivid Green” colorways will each go for US$200.
Californian brand Stüssy has been working with Dries Van Noten on apparel recently and has been on a roll with collaborations this year. Following the tease of the black colorway a few months ago, Stüssy and Nike have returned with the announcement of an even more audacious shade of the Air Max Penny 2.
The “Black/Green” colorway does away with the breathable hemp construction in favor of a black winterized textile upper with a lime green suede overlay. The heel has a distinctive paneling made of woven metallic silver. On the lateral quarter panel and in the concave region of the outsole directly below the foot, the Stüssy graffiti logo may be seen. On the outsole, there is a pop of fire engine red, and it can be seen through the Air unit in the heel.
Expect the Stüssy x Nike Air Max Penny 2 “Black/Green” to drop on Stüssy and SNKRS in the upcoming weeks. Check out the official images for a deeper look in the interim.
