[Update 24 Nov 2022] Official product images and campaign shots have been unveiled for this Ground Y x Chainsaw Man collaboration as the airing series inches closer to its concluding twelfth episode. These images reveal that included in the collaborative capsules are long-line coats, blazers, button-up tops, tees and jackets that all depict motifs from the anime. Most recognisable is the main character’s, Denji’s, crooked-teeth jaw on the T-shirt. A line of accessories that refer to characters are also available in both silver and gold tones.

Watchers of the popular show will also find the campaign images’ background familiar — it’s where a certain iconic transformation takes place. Take a look for yourself in the top slider above!

LINE
Anime is known as a huge culture of Japan and has influenced many different fields outside of its own including fashion. Having seen Akira, Pokemon, Dragonball and many more other collaborations throughout the years, Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto’s sub-label Ground Y has announced an upcoming capusle collection with the popular ongoing anime Chainsaw Man.

Started in 2014, Ground Y offers genderless and ageless styles through signature aspects of Yohji’s designs. Having featured Ghost In The Shell, Evangelion and One Piece, the label has offered their unique take of the respective anime through draped silhouettes. With Chainsaw Man, the latest collection embodies the identity and worldview of the series and expresses them through Ground Y’s creations.

While no details and images of the lineup is confirmed at the moment, the Ground Y x Chainsaw Man capsule collection will be made available exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo Japan from 30th November to 6th December, followed by a general release via Ground Y and THE SHOP YOHJI YAMAMOTO from 16th December.
