Merrell Hydro Moc AT Ripstop 1TRL: An All-Terrain Overhaul
For all terrains, and all seasons.
Merrell has always been in their element when it comes to the great outdoors. They’re natives to the habitat, it’s their stomping ground, their domain. With the release of the Hydro Moc clogs via their 1TRL label, they reassert their dominance in the space even when other brands might have been on the verge of a coup. The pair was embraced by outdoorsmen and the fashion cognoscenti alike.
Following up on this success, Merrell 1TRL gives the Hydro Moc a massive retrofitting, now with the “AT” affixed to its name (presumably pointing to “All Terrain”). The amphibious shoe gets equipped with a new uniform lacing system, the added heel strap in tandem with the toggle laces traversing the upper.
Three of the offerings will arrive in white, olive, and coyote; all outfitted with a ripstop nylon modular inner bootie. If it’s going to be for all terrains, it may as well be for all seasons. Forming the quartet will be a black iteration with the aforementioned inner bootie built with a GORE-TEX membrane.
The first three will arrive first on 9th November with a price tag of ¥18,700 (≈US$130) with the above-mentioned black arriving on the 16th for ¥26,400 (≈US$182). All pairs will be sold at Merrell JP. A wider global release is not yet known.
