It’s seems like Vans is going through a collaborative season with recent announcements of an extensive lineup like WTAPS, NEIGHBORHOOD and Better Gift shop etc. Adding on to the list would be Chicago-based object artist Benjamin Edgar with the Half Cab and Authentic silhouettes.

The Benjamin Edgar x Vault by Vans collaboration sees the signature “knurled rubber” vulcanization as the main design motif of the collection. With the Half Cab, two diverse colorways are offered, respectively “White/Safety Orange” and “White/White”. The vulcanized sole expands through the bottom and creates an imaginary illusion of hooking on to the bottom lace through holes.

For the Authentic, a simple “White/Bone” colorway is offered, sporting similarities to the Half Cab in terms of vulcanization but in a more minimalistic fashion. Lastly, every pair features embossed “BENJAMIN EDGAR, A VULCANIZED COMPANY” logos on the outer sides of the outsole to represent the co-branding of the collaboration.
