Urusei Yatsura x Onitsuka Tiger Drops Limited Edition Footwear
Only 700 pairs around the globe.
Onitsuka Tiger may not be an unfamiliar name to many sneakerheads as its history has been traced all the way back to 1949. Founded under Onitsuka Shokai (now also known as ASICS corporation), while the brand has not always been the center of hype, it does play a big part in the lifestyle sneaker scene in Japan and noticeably Asia.
This time, Onitsuka Tiger has partnered up with anime series Urusei Yatsura for a special capsule collection release. Introducing the Urusei Yatsura x Onitsuka Tiger Delecity, a limited edition footwear that features striking tiger body stripes that wraps around the upper which are inspired by the anime heroine Lum’s outfit. Chuckiness added to the sneaker also keeps the trendy aesthetics but keeping it lightweight for best of comfort. One thing to note is that this sneaker will only be released in 700 pairs globally.
Original illustrations of Lum and Ataru are featured on a sweatshirt and also a tote-bag that will see a release alongside the Delecity sneaker.
Set to release on 29th October, the Urusei Yatsura x Onitsuka Tiger Delecity will be made available worldwide while the sweatshirt and tote bag will only be available in Japan via Onitsuka Tiger. In the meantime, check out the original short movie made for the collaboration here.
