[Update 5 Dec 2022] Rui Hachimura’s latest sneaker under Jordan Brand—the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 37 “Siren Red”—is set to drop in his home country Japan on 8 December at a retail price of US$205. The flaming red color of the basketball sneakers, which is inspired by Hachimura’s Asian heritage, is bound to make heads turn when the Wizards forward returns to the court from his ankle injury.

LineRui Hachimura, Japanese hometown hero and Jordan Brand athlete will make his return come the 2022-23 NBA season next week. While he’ll be putting on for the Washington Wizards, the Jumpman won’t let him go into battle unprepared, equipping him with his own Air Jordan 37, the latest in their inline catalogue and linear series.

The iteration of the pair comes fittingly dressed with the colors reminiscent of a noble warrior that Hachumira is. Flash Crimson and Siren Red makeup the entirety of the leno-weave upper, while Sea Glass make up the sole unit, and Metallic Gold gets embellished through the cracked detailing on the ankle collar.

Fittingly, special detailing gives nod to his Japanese heritage as well as his personal branding appear in various parts of the shoes, more clearly on the graphics in the insole. His logos are displayed by way of tags on the tongue and the quarter, while the Jordan Brand’s appear on the heel tab as well as the Jumpman underfoot.

For the performance technology embedded in the design, the AJ 37 comes equipped with Formula 23 foam midsole along with a carbon fiber plate at the midfoot, and Zoom Air unit at the forefoot.

There currently isn’t a release date but it could be before the next season starts or shortly after. Either way, it’s a certainty the Rui Hachimura will be lacing up in these the next time he takes to the court. They’re expected to go for US$205 when they do drop at Nike SNKRS.

Until then, check out some of Rui Hachimura’s shoes in the Jordan Brand catalogue such as his Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Carnes” PE.
