First Look: Nike Air Jordan 1 Low “Purple Mocha”
Taking cues from Cadbury chocolate?
[Update 28 Nov 2022] What was affectionately called the “Purple Mocha” now has an official name and release date. The Nike Air Jordan 1 Low “Palomino” will be released in Men’s and Grade School sizing, with Nike finally releasing official images of the Men’s pair. The Palomino is tagged to a 17 December release date and retails for US$110. However, according to Japanese sneaker sites, Japan and parts of Asia might see the shoe drop later in Spring 2023.
Amidst a bevy of Halloween-themed releases, a pair of relatively tamer Nike sneaker has grabbed our attention. Enter the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low “Brown Purple”, or “Purple Mocha”, with its dreamy titular colorway.
The construction on this Air Jordan 1 Low remains unchanged, featuring smooth leather for its upper and nylon for the tongue. Smooth leather overlays in a milky chocolate shade wrap the white upper—the same brown and white combo also feature on the sole unit.
Things start to get a little spicier with the addition of purple, an unexpected color choice. Dashes of purple are featured prominently throughout the Purple Mocha, from the Swoosh, laces to the liner. The Jumpman and Air Jordan Wings logos are also colored in the same purple hue.
