LINEIt wouldn’t be Miami-based boutique SoleFly and Jordan Brand’s first foray into a partnership together having worked on a Jordan 1 High and Low previously. Although celebrations for the Jordan 13’s 25th anniversary may have been dampened by delays due to the global logistical issues caused by the pandemic, nevertheless, a first look into the duo’s take on the silhouette has surfaced.

For the au courant, it is known that Tinker Hatfield’s idea of the Jordan 13 was drawn from its namesake’s nickname of the “The Black Cat”, for his superior abilities and athletic prowess on both ends of the court. For the most part, its signatures remain intact like the design of the outsole, said to be inspired by the panther’s paws, with the panther’s eyes evoked through the holographic emblem on the ankle collar.

The palette of the shoe is derivative of the UNC Tar Heels’ colors, as with many Jordan iterations before it. Its construction also remain premium with a Celestine Blue suede fabric making up the upper, along with a Light Smoke Grey on the mudguard, and Muslin on the toe all the way up to the tongue.

A release date remains in obscurity, but is expected to hover between late-2022 or early next year. There’s no information of a price tag as well at the time of writing.

But the Jumpman has enough in their catalogue to keep us entertained. Elsewhere in the Jordan-verse, they’re cooking up some new apparel with Cactus Jack. Check it out here.
