First Look: Nike Air Max 1 ’87 “Ale Brown”
Tonal browns give the Nike Air Max 1 a luxe update.
Following big-name releases with Travis Scott and Patta, Nike’s Air Max 1 is closing out the year with another luxe colorway. This pair of Nike Air Max 1 ’87 “Ale Brown” is proudly dressed in tonal browns, from top to bottom, and features a range of premium materials like suede and soft leather.
Starting with a brown suede upper, Nike layers the Air Max 1 “Ale Brown” with more browns, including smooth buttery leather on the mudguard and quarter panel. The brown leather Swoosh and parts of the overlays have a reptilian texture, while the tongue features a brown mesh; even the liner is completely browned-out.
At the rear, Nike added a subtle nod to the Air Max 1 by debossing the “Nike Air” logo onto the heel. The tongue also received a similarly-debossed leather label. Lastly, an entirely brown sole unit rounds up this all brown sneaker.
