The world’s a more beautiful place because of the contributions of the Latinx community. To commemorate Latin Heritage Month, Converse has introduced the “Mi Gente, Mi Alegría” collection—”My People, My Happiness”.

For this year’s capsule, Converse engaged their own Latin American designers to celebrate everything their culture encompasses, its vibrancy, and its spirit. Featuring LA-based dance music collective Pangea Sound, they bring to life the accompanying campaign by being in their element—in the company of friends, music, dance, and food.

This year’s collection features spirited takes on some Converse classics: the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star, and the Run Star Legacy CX, along with an accompanying t-shirt and an oversized crop top.

All the shoes feature a textured woven canvas upper, with very unique takes among them. The Chuck 70 features a gradient logo in the colors embodying the summer, with ivory prints surrounding it. The Chuck Taylors comes dressed in Gingham with graphics of various delicacies the Latin community relishes in. Lastly, the elevated Run Star Legacy CX features a midsole mold resembling the waves of the tropics.
