[Update 19 Jan 2023] Every piece of information or image has been a trinket when it comes to Action Bronson’s signature. Albeit slowly, every new dime that does come to light offer more insight. For the latest, we finally get a closer holistic look of the 990v6 and its polychromatism. The v6 is an update of its predecessor that sees a more modular make, giving more reins to collaborators to exercise their creativity. The first of who, is Action Bronson.

As stated, information is sparse but more should arrive soon. It’s thus far been a long buildup considering the pair has been spotted publicly on a select few for months now.

[Update 22 Nov 2022] The Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 has already been teased between the ropes of an AEW ring.

The palette consists of many diverse tones, including light browns, deep greens, various shades of blue, the rare neutral, and more, with the exception of the mesh base, which is a vivid, neon green from toe to heel. The key logos on the shoe have also been changed by the artist; instead of reading “New Balance,” the branding now reads “baklava,” a play on one of Bronsolio’s many monikers.

Action Bronson, the Queens rapper who famously dissed MJ’s Air Jordans, has teased an upcoming collaboration with New Balance. What made this reveal infinitely cooler was how Bronson did it—in his debut wrestling match on All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Bronson has been spotted wearing New Balance sneakers on multiple occasions in recent years. Earlier in May, the rapper-turned-wrestler teased a possible NB partnership on Instagram, posting photos of a close-up of a neon green New Balance and a Baklava-New Balance co-branded box.

Stepping into the ring last weekend, Bronson wore a pair of multi-colored NB 990v6 that features similar eye-catching neon accents and purple laces. The iconic Fuel Cell sole unit sported a bright blue color. The colorful kicks didn’t go unnoticed by fans, igniting online conversation on Reddit and Instagram. After his AEW debut, Bronson shared photos of the match on Instagram with the caption “Dreams come true.”
