During the ’90s to early ‘00s, Nike has introduced the “CO.JP” program to the world from the land of the rising sun. Short for “Concept Japan”, the brand has released many Japan-exclusive releases of classic and vintage models through colorways and remakes. Since then, it has paved the way of introducing many store-exclusives and collaboration which evolves to current drops and also the Nike SNKRS app.

Drawing inspirations from the colorway of the old “TERMINATOR” model, atmos and Nike once joined forces in 2001 to release an exclusive Air Force 1 model as part of the CO.JP line. It was labeled as a masterpiece in the archive collection and has gotten high hopes for a remake throughout the years.

Now, those prayers were answered as Nike will be releasing the Air Force 1 Mid Tear Away in a new “atmos” colorway. Covered in a Sail colored body, it is decorated with star-shaped stitchings throughout the canvas upper. But that’s not the end to it, underneath the stars lies a bigger horizon. Peeling the veil, a classic Georgetown Hoyas colorway can be seen as an underlay which was seen on the 2001 release.

Rumored to drop globally this year, no official date has been confirmed yet but do stay tuned for more official announcements with regards to this release.
