At Jordan Brand’s core, it is inherently a basketball brand but over the decades, inevitably, permeated the lifestyle market. It’s a big one with even the smallest slice of the pie meaning millions in revenue.

If the sweet tooth proves too insatiable and getting a bigger slice is too uphill a task, the next best thing would be to look for another pie to eat off, which is what Jordan Brand has done; first creating a small incision into the football market with their Paris Saint-Germain partnership. This time, they set their eyes on possibly Michael Jordan’s third love after baseball and basketball, golf—partnering with Olajuwon Ajanaku’s and his Eastside Golf.

This isn’t the first the two are working together having previously collaborated on the Eastside Golf x Air Jordan 12. It was only a matter of time before the most versatile silhouette of them all, the Air Jordan 1 gets pulled into the fold.

Eastside Golf’s take features the AJ1 in a Midnight Navy nubuck dressing with Burnt Sunrise accents on the tongue and the heel tab. An alternating print of the green grass and red clay presents itself on the insoles, with “CLAY” lightly visible through the translucent outsole underneath.

Branding elements are depicted by way of the tongue tags and the heel tabs, with other embellishments like the”Golfman” hangtag on the top shoelaces, that’s finished off with golden aglets. Much like its predecessor, the collaborative pair will also come with a special co-branded box and alternative laces.

There’s no concrete release date yet aside from a November 2022 drop, with a price tag of US$130.
