The New Balance 550 underwent a renaissance under Teddy Santis’ minimalistic-but-elegant creative direction, and the once obscure model is now a popular street stomper. And New Balance needed no other reason to introduce a host of new colorways onto the well-received model. Collaborative partners have also overhauled the 550 with a mix of textures. Notably, Joe Freshgoods swapped out the usual leather uppers with canvas as part of his “Conversations Amongst Us” story. Joining this comeback wave is a Dusty Pink palette for the ladies, and on a smooth suede no less!

A pleasant, muted pink that is reminiscent of strawberry milk is the upper’s predominant color while hits of white and sail give depth on the heel and 550’s quintessential puffed N logo. A translucent 550 logo lands on the lateral forefoot. Per the usual 550 retro court look, the outsole is yellowed for an aged appearance. There’s nothing much else to unpack except that this is a must-have in any pink lover’s rotation, particularly if soft pastels are often in your outfit coordinations.

This women’s-sized New Balance 550 “Dusty Pink” will be dropping in the coming weeks. If the usual NB550 retail prices are anything to go off by, then this launch will be priced at US$110. Stay tuned for more updates!
