adidas is releasing their Forum Mid in a new “Patchwork” style. Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, the design combines an array of colors, materials and elements that are reflective of the German design approach.

The Forum has gained a reputation for being a classic silhouette for lifestyle and streetwear. The sneaker was originally created as a basketball trainer for players to set themselves apart on court. It has also enjoyed special edition releases with the likes of Bad Bunny and Beyoncé’s Ivy Park.

The silhouette comes in a retro mix of “Core Black,” “Shadow Red,” and “Clear Granite” that is found on the upper, toe cap, heel counter and tongue. Pops of purple highlight the counter and complement the speckled laces. A blend of different textures is found throughout the sneaker to elevate the Bauhaus style. A geometric print runs across the upper panels and tongue. Suede textures are found on the yellow ochre eyestays and the “clear granite” counter. “Shadow Red” finds itself in the lining and a burnt sienna shade sits above the midsole for finishing touches. Notably, the brand’s Three Stripes usually found along the midfoot is absent in this model.

The “Patchwork” promotes a direction of conscious creation. It’s partially crafted with elements of recycled content made from production waste and post-consumer household waste. This Forum Mid will be released on 15 September with a retail price set at US$150.
