adidas Harden Vol. 6 “Clear Pink”: Catching Eyes, Breaking Ankles

Think James Harden. Think Beard. Think Pink.

There’s nothing in the color spectrum the NBA All-Star would disallow on his signature shoes, it seems. Being one of the most fashionable stars in the league, if not the most, it’s not surprising at all that other colorways from the Vol. 6 would echo the same ethos as his “passion for flashin’.” From monochromes, to lilacs, ambers, so on and so forth.

Vol. 7 has had its unofficial debut by way of some leaked photos by Harden himself and by Lil Baby in the last few weeks. While the titular shoe will soon handover its on-court duties to its more subdued successor, the Three Stripes have a few more in store for it.

While striking, the color palette is relatively simple with Clear Pink, Cloud White, and Team Real Magenta adorning the upper, made from recycled materials generated from production waste. The flower-shaped eyestay in the forefoot and the wavy BOOST midsole takes the spring motifs to its zenith by summoning a warm charm uncommon in performance sneakers in the NBA a decade prior, where hard edges and masculine color tones dominate the makeup.

The 2018 NBA MVP has in his own way changed the way the game is played with his artfulness, and by the same virtue, called. Rules were implemented by officials to level the ground even from the shakeup Harden has caused with his crafty, foul-drawing arsenal of moves. As he pushes the boundaries of the game, he just as well does against conventional wisdom towards basketball shoes.

The pair is available now on adidas.com for US$150. How about checking out the adidas Puffylette? It could be your post-game sneaker.
