[Update 6 Jun 2023] Official campaign images of the Stüssy x Nike Vandal High have finally emerged, just a few weeks ahead of its 14 June release date. Enjoy a look at them at the image gallery above!

[Update 1 Jun 2023] The wait is almost over. The Stüssy x Nike Vandal High collection will officially hit Stüssy and Dover Street Market on 9 June, followed by a drop on SNKRS on 14 June. Each pair from the trio comes with a price tag of US$130.

Following official images of the “Deep Royal Blue”, more photos of the other two colorways—a black and a “Fossil”—have now emerged. It is still unclear if all three pairs of the Stüssy x Nike Vandal High will be available on SNKRS or if one pair will be a Stüssy exclusive.

[Update 24 May 2023] The partnership between Stüssy and Nike continues with the arrival of official images of the Stüssy x Nike Vandal High “Deep Royal Blue”. The first colorway from the collaborative 3-pack shows the Nike heritage model dress in a deep royal blue hemp material that’s now a trademark of Stüssy sneakers.

Stüssy fans will be happy to find the streetwear giant’s “8 Ball” logo is featured on the tongue label. The Nike Vandal’s iconic removable ankle strap, alongside embroidered Nike Swooshes and laces, appear in a solemn black shade.

Two other pairs will complete this Stüssy x Nike Vandal High collab, including a rumored black pair with silver details and a Stüssy-exclusive “Fossil” colorway. The Stüssy x Nike Vandal High collection is set to release in June 2023 with a US$130 price tag for a pair, so stay tuned for more latest updates!

[Update 5 Sep 2022] Word about the perpetually-hyped collaboration surfaces faster than any solid information about it can.

Nevertheless, we’ll take whatever we can get. While it was reported earlier that 3 colorways would be released, at least we may now know of one courtesy of @le.syndrome. The leaked photo (last in slider) depicts a predominantly black upper with chrome Swooshes and collar strap.

HOUSE OF HEAT themselves have also provided some mockups  of possible colorways in black, fossil, and pink; but as they said, knowing Stüssy’s proclivity for the unconventional, we ought to “expect the unexpected.”

LINE

Global supply chain issues have inadvertently affected sneaker releases, as of late. Although the Stüssy x Nike Vandal High is expected to drop sometime in the summer of next year, it’s not affirmative. The image featured is not of the titular pair but a retro version.

Nevertheless, three colorways of the Nike Vandal High are expected to come from the longstanding collaboration between Stüssy and Nike, a partnership spanning more than 20 years. They’ve had a slew of highly-coveted releases in those two decades up until this year’s Air Max 2013 pack, the Air Penny 2, and the Converse Chuck 70 “Surfman”. Come 2023, another classic will finally see a long-deserved revival.

The Vandal has always been overshadowed by its cousins in the Air Jordan 1 and the Dunk, having come out around the same time in the mid-1980s. Before it gets renewed attention next summer, its biggest claim to fame was being on the feet of Kyle Reese in the original Terminator and on Doc Brown’s in Back to the Future. For what it’s worth, that’s still a pretty decent “feat,” having a place in movie history along with the Nike Cortez in Forrest Gump and the PF Flyers in The Sandlot.

While life goes on until new information on the surfaces, how about hopping over to check out the Nike Air Jordan 4 “Thunder”? Also expected to drop around the same time.
