Save it for a Rainy Day: Nike’s Lunar Force 1 Duckboot Now Comes in Beige
Stay dry like a duck straight out of pond with this Nike Lunar Force 1 Duckboot "Beige".
Gorp core is in — from Dior putting out a performance gear collection and to New Balances dressing their M2002 in Gore-Tex, the hiking look is coming out of the woodwork and is becoming a summer fashion statement. Nike has also hopped onto trek with a luxury hiking sneaker with Jacquemus and even an upcoming Supreme x ACG collaboration brewing. But that’s not all! The Swoosh team is also pulling their older models out of their retirement to star in this new trend, with the Nike Lunar Force 1 leading the return.
The rain-ready version of the brand’s popular Air Force 1 (who is also celebrating its 40th anniversary this year!), the Lunar Force 1 is essentially a duck boot — a laced up shoe that’s weather-resistant to keep your toes warm and dry. Paying homage to its 2018 “Linen” look, this refresh sees the high-top shoe take on a tonal “Beige” all over its upper. The Swoosh sports a tumbled leather texture while a cooler shade of tan also occupies the star-studded rubber toe box. Black laces and outsole round out the look.
The Lunar Force 1s’ unabashedly light colorways proves the effectiveness of the winterized boot — the Watershield (or water-resistant) technology is not afraid of potential water stains or marks. Best yet, the Air Force 1 ancestry also means that its cushy sole ensures a comfortable and light walking experience.
Though no release dates have quacked its way into our ears, we expect it to hit shelves nearer to the Fall/Winter season due to the nature of its gear. Stay tuned for more updates!
