[Update 23 Aug 2022]  It’s here! size? has provided us with a clearer shot of its collaborative New Balance 1906R in teal. As with the more earth-tone colorway, the shoe employs an N-lock system. The N logo is trimmed with silver while overlay panels take on a contrasting black. Laces mimic the upper and are also drenched in a teal color. Though no release dates have accompanied this new picture, more information should drop in the coming weeks.

The start of a new week can bring about many possibilities, and for European retailer size? this includes announcing a surprise collaboration with New Balance. In a cheeky tone, the brand posted onto their Instagram a shot of two unreleased New Balance colorways, stating that an exclusive 1906R pack is making its way to their site.

A more obscure model under New Balance’s line that was once retired, the 1906R recently underwent an overhaul under Korean imprint thisisneverthat. In that release, the shoe was transformed into a slightly-worn, teal-silver look. Following a similar vintage look that’s all the rage now, size?’s first iteration sees a chalk blue mesh overlaid with silver panels.

A dark blue lattice hugs the heel and this color translates to the N logo. Contrasting these moodier colors is a pop of pumpkin orange on the laces and on the collar. Ageing the shoe further is the greyed midsole and exposed air bubbles.

A funkier take on retro appears right at the edge of the Instagram photo, which sees the New Balance 1906R drenched in a bright teal. Black accents are found along the lateral side and mudguard, giving some dimensional balance to the silhouette.

Though size? mentions that this size? x New Balance 1906R pack is coming soon, no concrete dates have been attached to this release. However, we suspect that more news will drop soon. Keep checking back to SNKRDUNK magazine for the latest updates.

In the meantime, why not check out this hybrid New Balance 1500?
