First Look: atmos PUMA SUEDE VTG “Petit Brabancon”
Before you assume, Petit Brabancon is a Japanese progressive nu-rock band—not French—like the fashion brand with eyes on a heart.
Petit Brabancon is a Japanese supergroup of five consisting of Kyo on vocals (DIR EN GRAY), yukihiro on drums (L’Arc-en-Ciel), Miya (MUCC) and antz (Tokyo Shoegazer) on guitars, and Hiroshi Takamatsu (THE NOVEMBERS) on bass. Formed in 2021, they’re set to release their first album “Fetish” on August 10; and to commemorate the release, they let the same amalgam of energy and creativity in their music, loose on the Puma Suede VTG.
The silhouette retains much of its familiar features, albeit with some added regalia. As a metaphor to the “dark world” of their music, the band went with a dominant black upper. The personal branding is strong throughout the pair. Starting with a striking gold debossed logo on the lateral heel, we see the motif through to the dual-lacing and the special metal deubré.
The tripartite collaboration will be available through the atmos web store from August 5, 10am (GMT+9). The limited edition Pumas will go for ¥14,080 (≈US$107). If you miss it on retail however, rest assured you can find it on the SNKRDUNK app later on.
