Everything We Know About Nike SNKRS Day 2022
It's SNKRS app's 5th birthday, and here are all the exclusive first dibs.
Every year, on 8 August, Nike throws a sneaker extravaganza known as SNKRS Day to celebrate the birthday of SNKRS app. In past editions, fans were treated to exclusive drops throughout the day, from special edition Jordans to highly sought-after collaborations like Sacai and Off-White.
2022 marks SNKRS app’s 5th anniversary, and many sneakerheads are hoping for surprise drops/restocks during SNKRS Day. So far, only a pair of Nike Air Force 1 “SNKRS Day” has been unveiled but some also noted that Nike is currently sitting on an inventory that includes Travis Scotts and rare edition Dunks.
Below, we suss out a list of sneakers that the Swoosh might or might not be dropping on SNKRS Day 2022.
1. Rumored Restock: Travis Scott x Fragment x Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG
The OG Travis Scott x Nike collaborative sneaker, the triple collab between Scott, Japanese label Fragment and the Jordan Family. Expect signature elements from the trio on this pair of Air Jordan 1 Low, like Cactus Jack and FRAGMENTDESIGN co-branding, and the Jordan sneaker line’s iconic Black Toe look.
2. Confirmed: Nike Air Force 1 Low “SNKRS Day”
The Nike Air Force 1 Low SNKRS Day may seem plain and unexciting at first, but take a closer look and you will see Nike has added bunch of details fit for the occasion.
The upper of the SNKRS Day AF1 features woven fabric in different patterns, a brown tumbled leather Swoosh and a wooden dubrae with the roman numeral “V” embossed on it. Each pair also comes with a special SNKRS Day Pendant made of wood and a special edition box.
3. Confirmed: Nike Air Max 1 Low “Tour Yellow”
Joining the SNKRS Day drop is this pair of summer-ready Nike Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow”. When this pair first surfaced, its fresh Summit White and Tour Yellow colorway immediately brought to mind a glass of refreshing lemonade–just what we need for a hot summer.
4. Confirmed: SNKRS Day Apparel Collection
In line with the SNKRS Day AF1, Nike has also prepared an accompanying collection of t-shirts and fleece pullover. The apparels feature the same SNKRS Day motifs as the shoe, with the roman numeral “V” embroidered over the chest area and the SNKRS logo, and the text “8 8 22”, at the back. The t-shirts feature a loose, roomy fit, while the pullover is sport-inspired and has a ribbed cuff.
