These teal Air Force 1 Mids are not the first pair of AF1s released this month, nor will they be the last. We’re deep into Nike’s ongoing celebration of Air Force 1’s 40th Anniversary, and this new colourway is just a piece of the puzzle.

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Washed Teal” doesn’t do much to change the silhouette’s design. Instead, it relies on its unique “Washed Teal” colour (save the multiple white Swooshes and tongue tab) to carry the look of the shoe. The distressed nubuck leather upper complements the colourway, adding a touch of depth and additional saturation to the exterior.

Overall, the shoe isn’t much of a surprise, but it does its job in creating a tropical flavour that emanates from the colourway at first glance. Given that this shoe is being released comfortably in the middle of summer, this seaside vibe makes perfect sense. In Nike’s words, “the only thing these kicks are missing is an ocean view.”

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Washed Teal” will be releasing on 27 July on Nike SNKRS and select retailers. More details below.
