Inside-Out: Another Nike Air Jordan 1 Gets Deconstructed

Deconstruction is one of Nike's favourite approaches in reimagining classic sneakers. By ripping apart sneakers and altering them slightly, a distinct new look is birthed.

This August, Jordan Brand will be introducing a new Jordan 1 Low design— Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG EX—featuring a semi-inside-out construction.

The Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG EX is constructed in materials that are not typically found on the standard Jordan 1. The upper is composed of ballistic nylon fabric and leather materials dressed in black, fire red, and dark smoke. Exposed foam padding is used on the edges of the overlays, eyelets, tongues, collars, and heels for its deconstructed look. The 3D Swoosh on the side panel not only makes the sneaker more attractive, it puts life into this pair.

Other details include a touch of fire red on the Nike Air branding on the tongues and the signature Air Jordan Wings logo featured on the heel tab. A Sail midsole atop a black rubber outsole completes the design.

The Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG EX will drop on 26 August 2022. They will retail for US$130. Scroll through the official images via the gallery above.
