[Update 15 Jul 2022] More news have landed for this leaked silhouette. The laceless model is under the adidas Adventure line and has been dubbed the “Rovermule Adventure”. As such, it provides the comfort and ease of a mule but is durable enough for exploring the great outdoors. A new colorway in pure black with iridescent Three Stripes branding has also been revealed. The Rovermule Adventure is expected to drop on adidas later this year.

Sneaker Details

Sneaker account @the.polo.sportsman recently unveiled an upcoming pair of adidas that looks to be a new addition to the brand’s DNA. Though this is not the first time adidas has released a laceless shoe, the silhouette of this slip-on sneaker is unlike any other in the Trefoil’s line up.

Covering the entire upper is a white neoprene material that is stitched to a brown-hued mudguard. On the lateral side is a chestnut brown mesh material that is overlayed with adidas’ signature Three Stripes. A deeper brown neoprene heel with exposed white stitching transitions into an inner lining of the same color. The tongue is slightly raised and marked with a bright lime green adidas Trefoil.

This elevated tongue gives the silhouette an organic shape, similar to contour lines that denote a mountain on a topographical map. Such a design matches well with the carved sole that looks similar to design of the adidas Adilette 22. If this new laceless silhouette follows the same inspiration as the Adilette 22, then the sculpted ridges are meant to imitate the Marsian landscape, giving the model a futuristic design direction. To complement the upper, the sole unit is made of the same creamy white color with hits of chestnut brown.
