Though satin is not a new textile for Nike to utilise, it has been a while since it last appeared on their silhouettes. Its most extensive use was perhaps on the NBA x Nike SB Dunk Low “Satin”, which had the Dunk wrapped in deep blue satin, and the Air Jordan 1 “Black Satin”.

Now, in 2022, silky satin is making a comeback on the Nike Dunk High. The high shine satin appears on the upper’s overlays and eyelets. Making this material more prominent is the white tumbled leather that forms the base of the upper. The Swoosh remains a simple black but with a basketball-textured look. For extra pops of color, pink hits are found on the ribbed lining while a lime rubber outsole completes the look.

The Nike Dunk High Blue Satin will drop on 7 July for US$125. Though this design is expected to be a women’s exclusive, larger sizes could be available. Keep scrolling for more official looks at this luxurious shoe.
