[Release 15 Jun] All the Info on Burberry x Pop Trading Company Skatewear Collection
QUICK LOOK:
Where to buy the Burberry x Pop Trading Company collection
Burberry delves into the skateboarding scene yet again. Sharing creative energies with Amsterdam label Pop Trading Company, the partners are launching a skatewear capsule collection that taps into Pop Trading Company’s repertoire as one of the leading skate apparel brands.
Most noticeably, the collection’s offerings are free of Burberry’s usual beige and browns. Instead, gray, black and red take over as a homage to the skating community that comes alive at night (hence the darker tones) in Japan’s cities.
Though the colors have been switched, Burberry codes are still prevalent within the collection. The London brand’s checks appear as a blurred variant on technical parkas, zipped jackets, silk shirts and cotton cargo trousers. The tartan checks also take on a reflective sheen on the car coat while Pop Trading Company and Burberry logos mingle on a grey cardigan.
This dual-branding is also seen on the more relaxed silhouettes in the collection, such as oversized tees, hoodies and blankets. Included in the collaboration are a mix of accessories, from cross-body and totes in the gray-black-red check to skateboards in a matching print. Caps and bucket hats in a muted gray are also up for grabs in this collection. Rounding off this comprehensive line is a footwear option — leather loafers, to be exact — in a deep maroon shade.
This Burberry x Pop Trading Company skatewear collection will be available on Pop Trading Company, Burberry and END. websites on 15 June.
